MATT CAHILL

Matt Cahill is a Toronto writer. His debut novel, The Society of Experience , was released in 2015. His short stories have appeared with Found Press, Fusion Fragment and The Rusty Toque . His nonfiction has appeared in The Best Canadian Essays 2017, Ryeberg, the Humber Literary Review and Torontoist

A.G. PASQUELLA

A.G. Pasquella’ s writing has appeared in various spots including McSweeney’s, Wholphin, The Believer, Black Book, Broken Pencil and Utne Reader . A.G.’s story “I Was a Teenage Minotaur,” originally published by Joyland, was included in Imaginarium 2013: The Best Canadian Speculative Writing . A.G. has published three novellas: Why Not a Spider Monkey Jesus? (which also appeared as a thirty-page excerpt in McSweeney’s #11), NewTown and The This & the That . He is the co-editor (along with Terri Favro) of PAC’N HEAT: A Noir Homage to Ms. Pac-Man . A.G.’s three crime novels in the Jack Palace series – Yard Dog, Carve the Heart and Season of Smoke – were published by Dundurn Press. When he’s not writing, A.G. makes music with the bands Miracle Beard and Lasergnu. A.G. was born and raised in Dallas, Texas, and now lives in Toronto, Ontario.

TERRI FAVRO

Raised in Niagara wine country, Terri Favro grew up with an electrician father who worked with the first factory robot and built his own robots at home. The experience fueled Favro’s lifelong love of science fiction, comic books, and space exploration. She is the author of four novels including The Sisters Sputnik and Sputnik’s Children (a Globe 100 book, long listed for CBC Canada Reads 2020) and the pop science book Generation Robot: A Century of Science Fiction, Fact and Speculation. Favro is also an award-winning advertising copywriter who worked on campaigns for emerging technologies that changed the world. Terri lives in Toronto.

Emily Saso's new novel is Nine Dash Line, a literary thriller about a mystery man exiled in the South China Sea, and a woman on a top-secret mission to capture him. It was voted a top read of 2022 by CBC Radio's books columnist Becky Toyne
